Back channel
The back channel was a communication device the iron birgade team used. While our teacher was talking, we would add in little comments or answer questions. This has value because it was a helpful tool that some people would use to benifit our class. I enjoyed how most people gave helpful information. Something I found difficult was how some students would do what we call "polution", and would add things that were off task. Something that really worked was having someone monitor what people said, and actullly using the backchannel to benifit the class. The next steps to the back channel should be having more than just our class contribute, but maybe the other team, and the whole eight grade.

This powerpoint is evidence that I used public speaking because it is a powerpoint that I used for U.S. History. It is memorable because it is just one of the many presentations we presented to the class. Something I enjoyed was taking the time to look up cartoons and comparing the to the ones today. Something difficult was finding appropriate cartoons that wouldn't offend anyone, or get them upset because their parents might like a certian party. This powerpoint not only helped me learn something about political cartoons but also helpfully taught my other classmates as well. The next step to my powerpoints is being more involved with the presentation and trying to get my peers to participate as well.
MY GOAL: I want to get a better grade on my unit 4 project then I did for my previous project. (A or B)

African American Project
This project is evidence that I used collaboration
because it shows me and my group working together
to get our project done. It is memorable because it
was a big project that the whole group contributed
on. Something I enjoyed was looking for the pictures
of the many African Americans that helped change our
nation. Something I found difficult was looking for the
information because we got the 1700s time period, and
they didn't really keep records then. Using the wiki
really worked because it helped us all work together and
share ideas when we couldn't in class. Something I
would do differently is I would leave more messages to my
group members,so they know what to do. I learned that
Phillis Wheatley was an important African American, and
also that the wiki is a great place to come together with a
group.
